CBFguam

The principle of "tithing", or giving 10% of all income, was given to the Israelite nation as part of the law given through Moses.  While such a principle can be helpful, just as the law is our tutor in showing us our need for Christ, for some this may lead to a legalistic mindset and even resentment while giving.  The Lord has called those of us in His church to worship Him in spirit and in truth, and to imitate Christ even in His generosity and love for His church body.

The Bible encourages generous giving of the Lord through church ministry where one is being taught the Word of God. It is part of our worship. As you give, please be sure it is with a joyful heart of thanksgiving for our salvation and all the blessings that are yours in Him.
